I found these fried green beans in our school lunch store, and I was politely informed that they were completly vegan. So I ate them off and on for a couple weeks. I became sucspiciouse though and decided to check again and checked the ingredieants myself. Sure enough, it had whey in it.

Bring your lunches. Going to your last class, with your stomach growling as louder than the marching bad, does not help reinforce the beleif to your classmates, that vegans eat more than leaves.

Do not live off salads. I personally HATE salads, so this wasn't really hard for me to follow, but if you happen to like salads, do not make that the main focus of your diet.

So yea.. Those are my tips for surviving high school as a vegan. Good luck!
Blogged with the Flock Browser

Summer Goals

So I decided to create a few 'summer resolutions' this year. The whole 'New Year's Resolutions' never really worked out. So I decided to be creative and create a new time to do resolutions..So here's a rough outline of what my goals are:

Make reading a HABIT- I don't know what happened but lately my addiction to books have fallen through. It's trés déprimant (depressing). I've replaced books with alternative devilish medias... *cough* Podcasts *cough* *wheeze* *cough* that, while informative, and lovely in their own way, do not surpass books..

Stop listening to podcasts 24/7- It's bad. Really bad. If my iPod ever dies, do expect to see a poor lonely vegan wandering the streets of Kansas, begging for spare change and vegan pumpkin muffins. I will go destitute, selling everything, except my computer, in order to purchase a new iPod, just for these terrible little audio files called podcasts.

Sugar = BAD!- I'm vegan, right? Doesn't that bring images of bountiful health? Doesn't little pieces of broccoli just stand up and start dancing around in your head when you hear that word? It should. Let's just say somewhere along my transition to veganism something went terribly wrong between the those broccoli's talent agent and my mouth.

Parle Français BIEN- Mon français SUCKS. So I've signed up for this foreign pen pal thing, called SpeakMania. And now I am 'corresponding' with this french lady from Bordeux. So far she's understood everything I've sent her. So that's a good sign, right?

Update this blog more often- Enough said.

Learn more about English grammer- I'm going into my senior year in high school and in our last year, the school system loves to congratulate us with making it this far by giving us a gigantic essay to write. So, I figured touching up on my grammer skills couldn't neccisarily be a bad thing, right?

I like this idea of having summer goals. It's like the perfect time to really dig in to your goals. Do you have any? You should post a comment and tell me about them.
Blogged with the Flock Browser

Tasmanian Devils...

THROW AWAY THE CONDOMS by ~TekkonBaka on deviantART

Just kidding. I don't speak French very well, but as of now I have completed an entire year in French. I know. I am amazing. And because I am a complete and utter academic sadist, I have decided to take another year of French. Why? What am i going to do with my fabulous knowledge of the French language? I think I'll move to the wilds of
Minnesota and greet the Quebecians as the come across the border. It'll be fun. I'll roast vegan marshmallows.

I have come across a site that I think will help me in my pursuits of my becoming Quebecian greeter. It is called "Speak Mania". I officially have two French people writing to me. It's amazing. I thought I'd barely get like one to talk to me. I mean honestly how many people can put up with my terrible spelling? Anyway if your looking to learn a new language, I recommend the site.

Top 5 Reasons I <3 Squarespace (A Squarespace review)

You can do a crap load of stuff on it. It offers services to make podcasts, you can have your own search engine, you can do a blog, a photo album, a links page, a plain old simple website page where you put whatever the heck you want. Basically I can start with a simple blog but expand into a fabulous website consisting of tons of different things.

The designs are pretty and their simple. You have different color choices. Their easy to change. I wish they had more though, but their is a good number. I'm just really into customization.

It's only $12 a month to get a blog with your own special pretty URL. (Plus the cost to register the URL which is generally a yearly fee). I always hated and I mean HATED the whole .blogspot.com or dot whatever that always came after blogs. It just made them seem generic. With squarespace they offer this domain mapping service, which I have to admit is a bit tricky to get working, but once you get it working it's fabulous!

It's simple. I hardly had to rely on the Customer Support. Their were only a few questions I had and honestly if I had just been a little less lazy I could probably have figured it out.

It's 10x better than the free services. Squarespace spoils me.

 <!--
